Beccy and Mike – Their Third Wedding Anniversary!

Celebrating wonderful memories of a time without Covid, Beccy and Mike are cosied up at home toasting their third year as Mr & Mrs!

Have you ever thought of a having your wedding ceremony at sunrise? It’s not for everyone but when it happened to be 6am in the morning in Austria every time Mike and Beccy called me for a chat, I thought it might be something that could interest them! They are both a little bit crazy so they jumped at the idea!

Once they arrived in Perth the most pressing job was to find a venue! After looking at several they decided on Bells Rapids and we were unbelievably lucky, it had rained the week before and the river was full of water! BTW that’s unusual in January!

Mike has a fabulous hobby, he collects VW campervans and beetles, lots of them. When I told him you could rent a stretched VW beetle cabriolet in Perth there was no discussion required, BOOK it!

It was still dark when we left Perth for Bells Rapids and as the first light of dawn appeared in the hills so did the kangaroos, much to the delight of Beccy and Mike who were hoping to see some! We arrived at the falls just before the sun rose and found a lovely spot on the bridge to begin the ceremony. In perfectly, unplanned, timing, the sun popped it’s head over the hills as they said their vows. One of my best celebrant moments ever! It’s a magical light at sunrise and Anthea made the most of it capturing stunning memories for this beautiful couple who looked absolutely gorgeous in their traditional but fabulously bespoke Austrian national dress.

Then it was back to Padburys in Guildford for a delicious breakfast. What a wonderful way to start a day! Congratulations Beccy and Mike on your third wedding anniversary and may life always be good to you.
