Sissy & Marco – Wedding Traditions – Sitting Down During the Ceremony

This gorgeous couple were good crazy and different from the beginning. Their beach wedding was to be the beginning of their two year working honeymoon, traveling around Australia. No surprises then when they wanted to do things differently to the locals. It is tradition to stand during the wedding ceremony in Australia but in Europe it’s common for the couple to sit until the vows. Sissy and Marco, coming from Germany, decided they would like to sit. Their closest family had travelled to Perth to be with them and they were in for a treat! The weather was perfect and they were delighted to have the ceremony delivered in German. Then more surprises, there was champagne, a grazing board and a delicious cake waiting for them after the ceremony. It was a totally enjoyable morning on the beach and I will always be grateful to Sissy and Marco for choosing me as their marriage celebrant. The bonus? We have become friends too 🙂
