Mel & Marylou – Where do Animal Lovers get Married?

The Perth Zoo is just a fabulous venue to have a wedding and animal lovers Mel and Marylou are both crazy about elephants. For them the obvious place to have their wedding ceremony was in the elephant amphitheatre and to go all out with entertainment for their guests.

Marylou and Mel are both great fun lovers too so it would be hard to decide what was more enjoying, their ceremony, which was filled with laughter and tears of joy, or, the elephants Trisha and Permai! Between them the elephants are over 100 years old! The barrier between the guests and the elephant enclosure was lowered to halfway during the ceremony allowing an uninterrupted view of their fabulous keep. Incredibly, both elephants painted a stunning piece of artwork while the marriage register was being signed! Fascinating how much Trisha and Permai enjoyed displaying their genuine painting talent! Real show-offs! These master pieces now hang in pride of place at Mel & Marylou’s home. Thanks so much Mel and Marylou for asking me to be a part of your very special day x
